Kim Lipfert Product Design
Bio
As a product designer, it's not only about creating products to solve problems, but also bringing joy into people's lives with solutions
that look good, function with ease, and don't cost a fortune. It's what
makes my job so interesting, and keeps me thinking about things long
after the work day is done. That challenge, along with collaborating on a daily basis with talented designers, engineers, and manufacturers, is what inspires me to come up with new and exciting products.
Bio
My college education is interior design and visual merchandising. After working in those fields a number of years, product design evolved as a natural progression. A good portion of my experience as a product designer has been in Europe, where I lived and worked for several years. During that time I was fortunate enough to travel to Asia on a regular basis to develop home and seasonal products, as well as
see manufacturing processes first hand. After returning to the states,
I started designing for Target, where I continue to create products and assortments for people to enjoy.
